Hi Guys!
Welcome back!! As you now know, we've decided to re-open KCS! We originally had gone on hiatus/closed because both Fate and I had a lot going on. Fate had moved, and then had to move again, and had various work and family commitments. I had been dealing with some health issues, and some family issues, in addition to school and work. Anyways, the end result was that neither of us were able to keep up with KCS at the time. But, its been roughly eight months since then, and we both feel like we're in a much better place to re-open KCS
We have made some pretty big changes though! The first, and most important, change is that we will not be having a House Cup at this time. Since we had to count all the points by hand before, we found that it was too difficult to keep up in addition to all the other work involved with the running of the house cup. We decided to forgo all of that for now. Although in the future, when we are better able to keep up with the work involved, we may decided to start the House Cup up again. But don't let that worry you! We're still going to run just as many competitions and other fun events!
As I'm sure you've noticed by now, KCS has a new banner and appearance! The banner was made by the amazingly talented Bec (thanks again!!), and the skin was made to compliment the banner. We felt that this re-opening was a chance to start over, and decided that the best way to do that would be with a whole new look. You'll also noticed that smileys have been replaced with Harry Potter themes ones (hehe), and Fate has made some custom images to replace the folders and other icons around the boards. Also, as of right now Fate and I are the only staff. I'm sure that'll have to change once we start getting busier again though.
Since we want this to be a new beginning, we decided to get rid of all the old threads. We've kept all the Fanfiction and Fanart threads, but all threads in the discussion areas are gone. We also kept all the old competition responses, and those can be found in the Room of Requirement. I'll also be updating the rules at some point this week, and I'll post an announcement when I do so that everyone can go read them
Obviously it'll be pretty slow around here for a while, since its basically like we're starting from scratch, but stick with us! It'll get busier eventually. You can help with recruitment if you want, and you can help improve the boards by checking out the Recruitment and the Suggestion boards.
So my only question now is, how is everyone? If you want to you can go post in the Sorting Criming and update everyone on how you've been for the last eight months, and what you've been up to. Also, comment on this thread and let us know how soon you'd like us to start our first even/challenge and what type it should be -or any other ideas you may have!
We've missed you guys and are excited to be back!
