Title: Chaffing Rating: PG Warnings: little bit of language and talk of the private anatomy Word Count: 200 Summary: Chaffing effing sucks!
Harry loved flying. He loved his broom, Quidditch, everything. He loved soaring through the air, his broom lifting him off the ground and allowing him to be free from Gravity's control. Whether he was soaring up in the clouds or mere inches from the ground, just the fact that his feet aren't touching the ground, makes him feel free. There was just one thing he simply couldn't STAND about flying.
Chaffing. EVERY time he got on his broom, things were great, he felt free and wonderful, and the longer the practice the better, however it was afterwards that was the problem. The Quidditch players uniform doesn't usually give much protection for "that area" other than a few layers of cloth. Therefore after EVERY practice and every game, Harry suffered from some massive chaffing. Sure ointments had helped and even wearing extra undergarments had helped some, but because he slides around on his firebolt so much, naturally in order to control his speed and trajectory not for any erotic reason you pervs, even that doesn't help much and by the end of practices or games, he's horribly chafed.
He should write a letter to someone about this....cause chaffing effing sucks!

lol it was a question that randomly popped into my head. I mean women probably don't have much of a chaffing problem, but what about guys with all that junk they got goin on down there? lol

Ever heard of a Cushioning Charm, my sweet?

Who says anyone thinks to use a Cushioning Charm? I actually almost think that would make things more uncomfortable, almost making it feel like you've got a pillow shoved up between your legs or something, and when riding a broom, that cannot be comfortable. Besides I was always given the impression that Cushioning Charms were meant to soften blows, you fall, use a Cushioning Charm and you don't break your coccyx etc etc. That's just how a Cushioning Charm has been implied in my perspective. I figure if they were going to use some sort of charm they'd probably use a Softening Charm of some sort. Or they would probably use some sort of Potion that works like a lotion, and prevents chaffing, however who's to say that Hogwarts students, despite having a resident(and sexy) potions master, would have access to such potions? Also no offense but despite the that sounded somewhat condescending, and I feel as though my pride has been slightly damaged. I am not upset or anything of the like, I do NOT feel insulted, just a small nick to my pride is all, hence my small paragraph long explanation of how I perceive a Cushioning Charm.

But I didn't mean it that way! I'm sorry for making you feel that way. It wasn't my intention.

I know it wasn't your intention Just as I have no intention to hide it from you. I think you would rather know how I feel, than to be unknowing and have me stewing in damaged pride stew or something don't worry, all is well ^_^

Don't modern broomsticks come with the cushioning charm? Cushioning charm or no cushioning charm, I thought it was quite a charming little drabble! (See what I did there?)
