Fly Above The Dust Rating: G Word Count: 240 Warnings (if any): None Summary: Sometimes equal footing happens when your feet don’t touch the ground
Ginny Weasley had spent her entire life being left behind. It was to be expected of course, that was what came from being the youngest of seven, and even worse, the only girl. That did not mean however, that she had to like it.
And she didn’t.
Ginny was left behind when her brothers left one by one (or two by one when it came to be the twins’ turn) for Hogwarts, and the Burrow became more and more empty, until at last she was alone with her parents and the chickens.
Bill left her when he went off to Egypt, and Charlie when his dragons called him to Romania, Percy as he went to the ministry, the twins with the opening of their joke shop, and Ron when he went off adventuring time and time again with his new best friends.
That’s where quidditch came in. Maybe she could never match Bill’s and Percy’s brains, or the twins’ insane knack for inventing, or the ridiculous bravery of Charlie and Ron. Maybe they’d all shoot up past six foot, while she hovered around five. Maybe she’d always have to quicken her pace to keep up, and maybe in the great big game of life she’d be left in the dust.
But in the air? Ginny was going to make sure she could always compete with them there.

Well done. A good rendition of Ginny's feelings of worthlessness (totally apt, in my opinion). You forgot to put "QT:" in the subject bar when you created the thread, though.

Ginny is indeed worthless. I can't stand her. lol Also you should really fix what Woody19 here is talking about. It's important, especially since you now have two stories up that need fixing.

I can connect to Ginny's pain! You guys are so slack! That's what I hate about being the youngest I'm alway stuck at home alone while my sister and brother are working/out. Lovely fic though
