Summary: six was one short of fielding a team
George is fairly sure that he’s in shock.
Because his brother is dead.
And he’s thinking about Quidditch.
His dad had always joked that the kids could field a quidditch team if they wanted.
But you needed seven to field a team.
And they only had six (because one was dead)
You needed:
A keeper
A seeker
Three chasers
And two beaters (but one was dead)
Who had ever heard of a team with only one beater?
Fred was cold,
And his grin was still there,
But it was wrong,
Lifeless,
Because Fred was dead.
And they were one short of fielding a team.
George turned away from his (dead) brother and sobbed.
