Title: Of Trials and Triumphs (i) Rating: G Word Count: 100 Warnings: Summary: Scorpius and Rose and Quidditch.
-
When Scorpius steps off the train, the first thing his father says is, “Well?”
There are no hugs in this family, no words of affection. Kids at school say it’s because his father is a miserable old Death Eater, but Scorpius thinks it’s something else. There’s something trapped inside his father’s heart that hurts. It’s been the same way between them for as long as he can remember, and it has always felt empty.
“They don’t allow first year students onto the Quidditch team, father,” Scorpius says formally. “No exceptions.” There is disappointment in his father’s eyes.
Scorpius looks away.

I like that you make Draco hurt. It means he isn't as heartless as he is often seen, there is something else inside him, well done
