Title: First Broomstick Rating: G Word Count: 175 Warnings: Summary: Draco’s first broom.
-
Draco receives his first broom at the age of four.
He’s already a mature little lad, polite and speaking mostly in full, grammatically correct sentences. His mother is proud of him for these accomplishments and rewards his tutor nicely, but his father shows his acceptance not in words but in favours.
So when Draco is called to his father’s study one day and sees the child-sized Nimbus in the corner, his heart leaps. “Is this for me?” he whispers reverently, and Lucius arches a brow.
“Well it certainly isn’t large enough for me,” he responds, and nods to the boy who is clearly so excited he can hardly control himself.
When Draco straddles the broom, he feels a hand on his shoulder, steadying him, though his father doesn’t cross the room to him. Lucius has never been a toucher, but Draco is learning to read the signs of wandless magic.
The broom quivers underneath him, anticipating Draco’s excitement and reflecting it, and it lifts him into the air.
It’s the greatest feeling in the world.

Aww, this is so cute, and Lucius is still being a father, privately. I always knew he was a family man! ;D You've made me so happy with this!!
