Title: Other Views – McGonagall (II) Rating: PG Word Count: 166 Warnings: none Summary: McGonagall’s perspective of Harry’s first quidditch match in CoS
This was the year. She could feel it in her bones; this was the year Gryffindor would finally win the Quidditch Cup.
Yes, the Slytherins all had those blasted new brooms. But this was the best team she’d had in years. This was the best team at Hogwarts.
She was willing to admit it. She wanted to see that Quidditch Cup in her office this year. That would wipe the sneer off of Severus’s greasy head. And she was tired of losing her money to him.
The rogue bludger was a bit of an unanticipated complication. Severus would have been capable, and certainly willing, but she seriously doubted he would have the nerve to be the one who bewitched it.
So at the first match of the season, the odds were, once again, not in her favour. And she thought Potter was getting as annoyed as she, when he charged at Malfoy.
But alas, they had won. And that night she would let her hair down.
