Summary: Draco’s perspective of Harry’s first quidditch match in CoS
“Ready there, Draco?” Flint patted his shoulder.
Draco swallowed and nodded, trying to look nonchalant. Gripping his new broom for support, he listened to the crowd as he walked onto the pitch with his team.
He was ready. He would beat Potter. He had to.
Shortly into the match, his stomach eased up a bit. A rogue bludger seemed to be hunting Potter with no signs of letting up.
He wondered who’d bewitched it. No one on the team, surely. None of them were bright enough for something like that.
Draco smirked, watching Potter flourish around to avoid his attacker. He was getting inspired to make a mental list of jokes when Potter started racing right at him! With the crazy bludger blundering behind him!
Draco swerved to avoid being hit and suddenly there was a loud cheer from the Gryffindor stands.
What on earth was he supposed to tell Father?
