Title: Far Away Rating: PG Word count: 162 Warnings: mentions character death (canon) Summary: Harry writes to Sirius when he’s hunting horcruxes.
Snuffles Sirius,
I sure could use you right now. I have no idea what I’m doing. Honestly, my goal every morning is for us to survive the upcoming day ahead. That’s all we do, Sirius. Struggle to survive. How are we ever going to find the other horcruxes, and destroy them, when we now consider staying alive an accomplishment?
But there’s nobody else who knows. Dumbledore’s left it all to me and I don’t understand why. He must have a reason, though, right? I really wish you were here with me.
I don’t even know why I’m writing this. A letter that Hedwig could never deliver, if she was here. But she isn’t. I just miss talking to you. We did this so many times, writing and then waiting for what seemed like forever for a response. So when I write, it almost feels like that. Like you’re really far away again. Far away, but not gone.
I miss you, Sirius.
Harry

Oh, poor Harry. Sirius' death really did hit him hard.

This almost made me cry, Crystal! Especially the part where Harry said he feels like he's waiting for Sirius' answer. Brilliant job!

Why did Sirius have to die? ;_; This is heartbreaking, especially-
- this bit.
