Title: How to Lose Friends and Alienate People
Rating: G
Warnings:
Word Count: 337
Summary: Lily ends her friendship with Severus.
-
Sev,
Will you meet me by the lake today? There’s something I need to talk to you about. Two o’clock at the big oak. I’ll see you there!
Lily
-
Sev,
Why didn’t you come to the lake? I know you got the note I left you, because I asked a kitchen elf to deliver it and I know they don’t make mistakes. I really do need to talk to you. Please reply and tell me when you can meet with me.
Lily
-
Sev,
Please don’t make me do this via owl. Where are you? I didn’t see you at breakfast today.
Lily
-
Sev,
Why are you avoiding me?
Lily
-
Sev,
James asked me to Hogsmeade last week. You haven’t been answering my owls and I haven’t seen you in days, so I had to give him an answer.
Lily
-
You said no, right?
-
Sev,
This is the letter you choose to answer? Where are you? Are you all right? Can we please meet this afternoon? I will wait for you at the Three Broomsticks.
Lily
P.S. I said yes
-
Sev,
Why do you have to spend all your time with the Carrows? You know I wouldn’t meet you if they were there. They’re so mean, Sev. How can you stand being in their company?
Lily
-
Severus,
Please find enclosed the copy of Hogwarts: A History that you lent me, and your dress robes. I restitched the hem so they should be long enough now. Those robes will have to last you until graduation now. I’m sorry our friendship has to end here, but I meant what I said by the lake last night.
I will miss you.
Lily
-
James,
I would be happy to meet you for a study session in the library after Arithmancy. However, I’m sure you’re aware that if you want my help, you will take a detour and avoid the hall into which Slytherin Transfiguration students exit. I will know if you don’t.
