Title: Marry Me
Rating: PG
Word Count: 375
Warnings (if any): None (well besides Mary-Sue's )
Summary: Harry has a new girlfriend, and Ginny isn't happy about it.
Written For: Mary-Sue Mini Challenge
Ginny Weasley was furious. Now usually when sensible people were the object of her fury they did everything they could to stay out of her way. Harry Potter however was not just anybody, and he was alarmingly oblivious to his ex girlfriend’s mood. However, he had nice sensible friends that could see Ginny was on warpath and, as any good friends would, they continually diverted their friend.
You see, Harry had a new girlfriend, and not just any girlfriend. Kelly Winters, a muggleborn witch from America, and she was perfect. No really, Ginny had yet to find a single flaw in her, which was all the more infuriating. They had met when Harry was on duty; he had rescued her from dark wizards. Kelly had long curly blonde hair, beautiful blue eyes, and curves to die for.
What was worse was that she was perfectly nice, more than nice. She was kind, she went out of her way to help others, and she wasn’t the least bit selfish. Add in the fact that, like Harry, her parents had died when she was a baby, (and she had grown up in poverty bouncing from foster home to foster home) and Ginny simply couldn’t compete. They had too much in common. She was good at the things Harry was good at, and to top it all off she was nearly as powerful magically as Harry was.
But Ginny resolved not to let it get to her, too much at least. She loved Harry, more then she had ever loved anyone before. When he had broken up with her she had known he still loved her, he was trying to protect her. He was just confused right now, after fighting for so long he obviously had to live a little before he came back to her. After all, hadn’t Ginny had a few boyfriends? And Harry hadn’t had those experiences. Cho being the only one, and that hardly counted.
But at that moment, in front of the entire Weasley clan , Order, and their friends, Harry got down on one knee. “Kelly, I love you more than life itself and can’t imagine my life without you at my side. Will you marry me?”
Ginny felt her heart plummet.
