Title: Reply to Mr. Dumbledore Rating: G Word Count: 116 Summary: Response to Dear. Mr Dumbledore.
Dear Ms. Evans, I am sorry to have to inform you that Hogwarts can only accept children who have shown magical ability by age eleven and unfortunately if the magic has not shown itself by this age then it is certainly absent within that person. Hogwarts is not a place where magic is acquired. Magic is something born within you, such as red hair or green eyes. Hogwarts is a place where the knowledge to control and use that magic is perfected. I am quite sure you would have made an excellent student and I am sure you will continue to be one at which ever Muggle school you plan to attend. Sincerely, Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster

Poor Petunia. This sounds just like Dumbledore, though. Great writing!

This is exactly like Dumbledore! Excellent response (although it wrenches my heart a little).
