“Once more from the top,” Scar said looking at mirrors after the girls gently expanded their train compartment to allow for a dance studio pointing to Dean to push play, “A five, six, seven, eight.”
Morgana sang and danced their way through the song after much arguing on which song they would use to introduce themselves to Hogwarts and asking how the Great Hall was set up. They spent four hours choreographing a dance.
The final notes to the song rang out and the girls were left panting but still smiling.
“So what do you think?” Rosaline asked brushing her hair behind her ears.
“Wow,” Harry, Seamus and Neville said jaws hanging open.
“You are going to knock them dead,” Dean said kissing each one on the cheek. The girls squealed in delight hugging each other.
“We better get changed into our uniforms,” Ginny said looking at her watch making Morgana sigh in displeasure. The boys were pushed off onto one side of the shrunken back down to double wide train compartment to change as a brick wall
“Wool, God I’m going to scratch myself raw,” Dee said looking at the uniform with a sneer.
“If you don’t freeze to death in winter first,” Lena said shivering already at the prospect of snow, ice, and biting winds in nothing but a short skirt.
“Can’t be as bad as that photo shoot in January in bikinis in Malibu,” Scar said.
“I was sick for six weeks with Bronchitis after that shoot,” Rosaline said.
“It’s not so bad,” Luna said making the girls whip their heads around to stare at the blond girl.
“She speaks!” Lena and Rosaline yelled looking at each other as the train started to slow down.
“Come on, leave your trunks, the elves will bring them to your room.” Ginny said as the wall dropped between the girl and the guys.
They made their way onto the train platform to see a Giant calling out, “New Students, over ‘er.”
“I hope I see at least one of you in Gryffindor,” Dean said hugging the members of Morgana, “Good luck!”
The girls waved and made their way over to an elderly witch with close cropped grey hair to stand in a sea of first years. Lena looked around and caught Rosaline eye twitching an eyebrow up.
“If either of you make a crack about being in Munchkinland…” Scar hissed.
“So who represents the Lollypop Guild?” Lena asked making the muggleborn students laugh.
“I’m Professor Grubby-Planks, Are we all here? Ok off to the boats.” Grubby-Plank said leading the first years and Morgana to the boats.
“Four to a boat, but you four two to a boat,”Grubby-Plank said looking at Morgana.
“BOATMATES!” Lena and Rosaline yelled looking at each other.
“I don’t think so, Dee and Lena, Rosaline will be with me.” Scar said.
“What you think we are going to turn the boat over?” Rosaline asked.
“Summer Camp,” Dee said getting into a boat.
“Oh right,” Lena and Rosaline said grinning before climbing into a boat somehow the two trouble makers wound up in the same boat together. Rosaline raised an eyebrow with a subtle nod, Lena skimmed her fingers along the water’s edge. Rosaline looked up in time to see the castle with a gasp making Lena look up from her work to gasp as well.
“LENA!” Scar and Dee yelled as they tried to get rid of the water that was seeping into their boat. Rosaline and Lena laughed so hard that they flipped the boat over making Scar and Dee laugh falling into the lake. The sisters looked at each other and busted up laughing again.
“Are you four alright?” Grubby-Plank asked.
“Yep,” Scar and Dee said while Lena and Rosaline giggled.
"Good get back in your boats!" Grubby-Plank said sternly as the four girls climbed back into their boats.
The journey resumed while Lena sang loud and very out of tune Row Your Boat.
“Wow Lena no one would know that you’ve spent the last eight years in singing lessons,” Rosaline drawled as they climbed out of the boat. They fallowed after Grubby-Plank and the first years, while quietly performing drying charms and make-up charms on each other.
The four girls knocked into the first years having not realized that they had stopped in front of a strict no non-sense witch.
“Sorry,” mumbled the girls to the first years.
“I am Professor McGonagall, Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts, the first years are to come with me to be sorted, and you four will wait here until I return. Grubby-Plank,” McGonagall said looking over the new students. McGonagall gave Morgana a hard stare before taking the first years into the Great Hall. Grubby-Plank left to take her seat in the Great Hall leaving Morgana out in the Entrance Hall alone.
“Anyone else wonder why we are being kept out here?” Rosaline asked.
“The better question is; is it wise to leave us unsupervised?” Lena asked with a smirk. Rosaline grinned as Dee and Scar rolled their eyes at them.
“You two please don’t do anything,” Dee pleaded.
“We’re not,” Lena and Rosaline said and snuck up to the Great Hall doors to crack it open to hear a voice recite,
“This does not sound good,” Scar said bit her lip.
“We four are stronger than the founders of this school, we are sister,” Rosaline said her green eyes flashing in defiance.
“No matter where that hat places each of us, we should promise here and now,” Dee said pulling a thin sharp knife from her hair, “we should remain sisters no matter what,” cutting her both of her palms with the knife.
“Sisters no matter what,” Scar, Rosaline and Lena said pulling their own knives out slicing their palms to press their hands against their sister hands as one said, “Sisters, through famine and bounty, through this life and the next, through war and peace, and through rain and shine, Sisters through blood and magic. So be it.”
A gentle wind ruffled the girl’s hair as a burning heat ran up their arms while the smell of fresh grass filled their noses hearing the rush of the crashing of waves upon the beach. The girls smiled and let go of each other’s hands to look down at their palms.
“Ouch,” Lena said flexing her hands.
“I think keeping our talents from the other students would be a good idea.” Scar said as Dee nodded.
“Like anyone would believe we were elementals, Scar,” Rosaline said with a roll of her eyes and her ears perked up at hearing the name, “Yamauchi, Christine”
“Last first year,” Lena said and flicked her wand at each of her sisters to change their clothes into performing clothes. Morgana was dressed in stain strapless mini dresses with a pair of black five inch stiletto heels; each girl was in their color of choice, Lena hot pink, Scar peacock blue, Dee gold and Rosaline sliver.
“Before we tuck into our feast we have four more students to sort. The professors and I felt that a warning would be wise as these students are different from our first years as they will be joining our fifth years, they come to us from the Colonies, and many of our Muggle students may know them as the music group Morgana.” Dumbledore said as the students gasped and shouted.
“I think that’s out cue,” Lena said with a wave of her wand blew out the candles in the Great Hall, throwing open the doors as the opening notes of Last Friday Night started playing.
“There's a stranger in my bed, There's a pounding my head. Glitter all over the room. Pink flamingos in the pool, I smell like a minibar, DJ's passed out in the yard, Barbie's on the barbeque,” Scar started to sing while dancing down the aisle between the house tables.
“Is this a hickie or a bruise, Pictures of last night, Ended up online, I'm screwed. Oh well! It's a black top blur, But I'm pretty sure it ruled.” Dee sang picking up from Scar fallowing her to the front of the Great Hall.
Together they jumped onto the Professors table to sing, “Last Friday night! Yeah we danced on tabletops, And we took too many shots. Think we kissed but I forgot. Last Friday night! Yeah we maxed our credit cards, And got kicked out of the bar. So we hit the boulevard. Last Friday night! We went streaking in the park. Skinny dipping in the dark. Then had a menage a trios. Last Friday night! Yeah I think we broke the law. Always say we're gonna stop-op. Whoa-oh-oah! This Friday night, Do it all again, This Friday night, Do it all again!”
“Trying to connect the dots, Don't know what to tell my boss, Think the city towed my car, Chandelier is on the floor, Ripped my favorite party dress, Warrants out for my arrest, Think I need a ginger ale, That was such an epic fail!” Lena sang to a dark haired professor with a sour look on his face.
“Pictures of last night ended up online, I'm screwed! Oh well! It's a blacked out blur,
But I'm pretty sure it ruled! Damn!” Rosaline sang from the green and sliver table.
“Last Friday night! Then had a menage a trios.Last Friday night! Yeah I think we broke the law. Always say we're gonna stop-op. Whoa-oh-oah! This Friday night, Do it all again, This Friday night, Do it all again!” The girls sang from each of the house tables the students started to chant with Morgana, “T.G.I.F! T.G.I.F! T.G.I.F! T.G.I.F! T.G.I.F! T.G.I.F!”
“Last Friday night! Yeah we danced on tabletops, And we took too many shots. Think we kissed but I forgot.” Scar sang from the yellow and black table.
“Last Friday night! Yeah we maxed our credit cards, And got kicked out of the bar. So we hit the boulevard.” Rosaline sang to the blond that caught her eye.
“Last Friday night! We went streaking in the park. Skinny dipping in the dark. Then had a menage a trios.” Lena sang from Dean’s lap.
“Last Friday night! Yeah I think we broke the law. Always say we're gonna stop-op! Whoa-oh-oah!” Dee and Luna sang together.
“This Friday night, do it all again!” Morgana sang together at the front of the Great Hall. The girls panting and smiling as the school shouted and clapped excepted for the green and sliver table who was giving icy glares to the four of them.
“Brava! Brava!” Dumbledore said clapping having Morgana turn and bow to Dumbledore before turning back around to bow to the school.
“I turn the floor once more to Professor McGonagall, to sort our new students,” Dumbledore said as McGonagall walked with the Sorting Hat, stool, and scroll tucked under her arm. Glaring at Morgana as she placed the stool down with the Sorting Hat down before unrolling the scroll she carried.
“Addams, Darcy,” McGonagall called out as Dee hugged each of her sisters before walking up to the stool to have the hat placed on her head.
Scar, Lena and Rosaline waited with baited breath as the hat made its choice.
“RAVENCLAW!” The hat sang out and the table of blue and bronze shouted. Dee walked over and sat next to Luna as McGonagall called out, “Addams, Lena.”
Lena hugged Scar and stuck her tongue at Rosaline before making her way to the stool to have the hat lowered on to her head to have it shout out, “GRYFFINDOR!”
“That was quick,” Rosaline whispered to Scar as Lena happily made her way to the table of red and gold where Dean sat.
“Addams, Nancy,” McGonagall called out.
“God I hate my first name,” Scarlett whispered to Rosaline as they hugged, “Sisters forever.”
“Sisters forever,” Rosaline whispered as she watched Scarlett take a seat on the stool. Rosaline watched intently as Scar sat shifting under the hat for two long minuets.
“HUFFLEPUFF!” the hat sang out as the black and yellow table cheered.
Rosaline didn’t need her name to be called out as she made her way to the stool that held her future taking a deep breath as the hat was lowered onto her head.
“Welcome there is no need to be nervous when one returns home,” the hat said to her. Rosaline looked around the Great Hall wondering if the hat had spoken out loud.
“No, fire child, you are the only one to hear me.”
“Home and how did you know?” Rosaline thought.
“Yes, home you were born within these walls. Oh fire child it is all here written in your memories, your thoughts. Every single part of you sings of the fire in your blood, the same fire that sang so softly within that of your parents.”
“You knew my parents,” Rosaline asked.
“Yes, but that is neither here nor there,”
“I may never get a chance to talk to you again! I want to know of my biological parents!” Rosaline shouted within her mind.
“Hush child, we will talk again, but we have spent enough time talking I need to place you within the house that suits you best.
You seek knowledge of your parents and enjoy seeking knowledge, but you do not thirst for book knowledge no you seek gossip, rumor, secrets. Ravenclaw would not do for you.
You dare where the angels fear to tread Gryffindor maybe the place for you, but you would use any means to gain your ends.
I’m not going to waste your time with Hufflepuff unlike your sister you have no patients what-so-ever. No, Hufflepuff is not the house for you and really one day you should put Scar up for Sainthood for putting up with you.
Ah lastly we come sly Slytherin your ambition for yourself along with those around you have pushed you to the edge and beyond.
Where to place you Gryffindor or Slytherin? You would have many adventures in either house I predict but that cunning mind of yours is crying out to be stimulated with an intrigue or two. You will get your fill of intrigues in…” The hat took a deep breath to call out her house.
“SLYTHERIN!”

“In times of old, when I was new,
And Hogwarts barely started,
The founders of our noble school
Thought never to be parted.
United by a common goal,
They had the selfsame yearning
To make the world's best magic school
And pass along their learning.
"Together we will build and teach"
The four good friends decided.
And never did they dream that they
Might some day be divided.
For were there such friends anywhere
As Slytherin and Gryffindor?
Unless it was the second pair
Of Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw,
So how could it have gone so wrong?
How could such friendships fail?
Why, I was there, so I can tell
The whole sad, sorry tale.
Said Slytherin, "We'll teach just those
Whose ancestry's purest."
Said Ravenclaw, "We'll teach those whose
Intelligence is surest."
Said Gryffindor, "We'll teach all those
With brave deeds to their name."
Said Hufflepuff, "I'll teach the lot
And treat them just the same."
These differences caused little strife
When first they came to light.
For each of the four founders had
A house in which they might
Take only those they wanted, so,
For instance, Slytherin
Took only pure-blood wizards
Of great cunning just like him.
And only those of sharpest mind
Were taught by Ravenclaw
While the bravest and the boldest
Went to daring Gryffindor.
Good Hufflepuff, she took the rest
and taught them all she knew,
Thus, the houses and their founders
Maintained friendships firm and true.
So Hogwarts worked in harmony
for several happy years,
but then discord crept among us
feeding on our faults and fears.
The Houses that, like pillars four
had once held up our school
now turned upon each other and
divided, sought to rule.
And for a while it seemed the school
must meet an early end.
what with dueling and with fighting
and the clash of friend on friend.
And at last there came a morning
when old Slytherin departed
and though the fighting then died out
he left us quite downhearted.
And never since the founders four
were whittled down to three
have the Houses been united
as they once were meant to be.
And now the Sorting Hat is here
and you all know the score:
I sort you into Houses
because that is what I'm for.
But this year I'll go further,
listen closely to my song:
though condemned I am to split you
still I worry that it's wrong,
Though I must fulfill my duty
and must quarter every year
still I wonder whether sorting
may not bring the end I fear.
Oh, know the perils, read the signs,
the warning history shows,
for our Hogwarts is in danger
from external, deadly foes
And we must unite inside her
or we'll crumble from within
I have told you, I have warned you...
let the Sorting now begin.”
And Hogwarts barely started,
