Title: Brothers and Sisters. Rating: G Word Count: 192 Warnings (if any): None Summary: Harry witnesses a moment between two of his children.
“James!” Harry heard his daughter yell. “James!” Harry leaned slightly behind the doorframe so his children wouldn’t see him.
“What?!” Came the annoyed voice of Harry’s oldest son, James.
“James!” Lily’s voice was both young and desperate, and as Harry glanced around the doorframe he could see her tugging on James’ sleeve and pointing urgently at something on the wall. “There’s a spider James! Get it James! Get it!”
Harry could see James roll his eyes and heard him let out an exasperated sigh. He made a big show of rolling up his sleeves and walking over to the spider. “Kill it James!” Lily called, her voice trembling. She had been terrified of spiders ever since she had heard the story of when Harry and Ron had “followed the spiders” in their second year.
“Alright, alright.” James grabbed a nearby Quidditch magazine and Harry heard a resounding smack as the spider, Harry could only assume, met its demise. “There you go Lily-Beans, its dead.”
“Are you sure?”
“Positive, here see for yourself...”
“Eeeeww! Jaaames!” Harry just smiled and chuckled to himself at his children’s antics. He loved witnessing these moments between them.
